LOA Requests

This page will explain the terms and conditions of a leave of absence which will allow you to take a break from the London Fire Brigade without worries of repurcussions due to lack of activity.

LOA requests must be:

• Minimum of 7 days.

• Maximum of 28 days (may be extended at the discretion of Chief Fire Command.)

• Have a valid reason, such as family matters, taking a break from CMG or something else like this. 

Be aware that you must have had hit previous activity requirements of one hour per week in order to achieve an LOA. Failure to meet minimum hours will result in an LOA being refused. It is your responsibility to ensure an LOA request has been submitted, and LOA requests cannot be made for past dates.
